Fall 2013 (daytime)
As I look back, I believe this was the first lucid-state dream I ever had where I was in direct confrontation in “outing” a demonic spirit – whom was compelled to confess its true identity to me, in the name of Jesus Christ (I John 4:1).
I was taking a nap in my bedroom this day, when I had found myself (in the dream) in what appeared to be an exact copy of my room. Then, as I came to and looked toward the end of my room at the window – I saw standing in front of me a distorted form of a woman that I had known from back in high school.
The distortion was a quite unnatural, rail-thin form of her; almost comical, but with an element of lingering fear due to cognizant state of the encounter (i.e. it's a sentient being right in front of me assuming this unnatural form).
I was beginning to seriously study deliverance ministry at this time, so I approached this odd being and asked “In the name Jesus, are you a demon?”
“Yes” was its immediate, affirmative response!
I then awoke soon afterward...amazed at how the Bible's testimony regarding evil spirits was, evidently, very real.

- I believe that this encounter was overseen by God in order to introduce me to His authority in exposing the true nature of evil spirits (I John 4:1-3). Now, obviously, an evil spirit taking the form of a literal pitchfork-wielding demon would not be very hard to discern. However -- by and large, demons take deceptive forms (II Corinthians 11:15); and will only truly be exposed with the name above all names: the Lord Jesus Christ.
II Corinthians 11:12-15
...(12)But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. (13)For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (14)And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15)Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works...
I John 4:1-6
...(1)Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
(2)Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: (3)And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(4)Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (5)They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. (6)We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error...
