started occurring in the rental house that we were all staying at.
And one evil dream, in particular, even manifested itself in the physical upon my waking up.
As I recall, in this brief dream I was upstairs in the kitchen/dining area of our rental house and speaking with my roommate Jay about something, as he was seated near the table.
Nothing, so far, seemed out of the ordinary.
Jay was also wearing a black shirt.
Then suddenly, after I had said his name at the end of a saying something to him, “Jay” piercingly stared back at me – with black pupil eyes – and bluntly said, “I'm not Jay!”
Immediately after he said this, I awoke in my pitch-black bedroom.
(located on the bottom floor, which had no windows)
Still in my half-awake, groggy state – I could, literally, feel something mysteriously “striking” me upside the head!
Mysteriously still, I wasn't being struck in the physical sense, but more like in the psychic/spiritual sense (i.e. like an evil spirit was beating on my spirit man). My heart was racing at this point, as the only thing that I could think of doing was to call upon God's name to make it stop.
And, shortly after I did so...it did!
- What gave this evil spirit legal access, to begin with?
Clearly, I do believe that the Ouija session which we all took part in, prior, is what gave this evil spirit the "open doorway" to access me.
- Be Mindful of "Open Doors"
...(6)And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? (7)If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him...

...(1)(A Psalm of David.) LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. (2)Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
(3)Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. (4)Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties. (5)Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities...
- Why was the setting of the dream in my house?
In Scripture, when an evil spirit is cast of a man, he specifically calls his former host his "house".
This is, therefore, a basic revelation that our very spirit nature in dreams is represented by the home we live in.
- One's Body (Soul/Spirit) Described As a "House"
...(43)When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. (44)Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. (45)Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation...

- Why were we in the dining area of my house?
Dining rooms (or tables in kitchens) represent communion, sharing, and feeding; typically the things which friends and family do when they're eating a meal.
Therefore, to tie in with the context of my dream, I was having a communion with that evil spirit -- due to inviting it into my life from the session we all had with the Ouija board, prior!

(11)And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? (12)But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
(13)But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance...

- What did the evil spirit's masquerade form of Jay represent?
I believe that Jay's form here symbolized where this evil spirit originated: Jay's bedroom when we all decided to play on the Ouija Board.
Demons taking familiar forms of family, friends, and others that we know in life often symbolize a root issue of something being communicated in the dream (as evil spirits in their true, hideous forms typically wouldn't convey as much; although I have had dreams where I've seen them take their real forms).
- Familiar Spirits
...(9)When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. (10)There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, (11)Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. (12)For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee...
I Samuel 28:3-7
...(3)Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land. (4)And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa. (5)And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. (6)And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
(7)Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor...

- Why was "Jay" wearing a black t-shirt, with black piercing eyes?
Darkness and nighttime in Scripture symbolize evil, and is the time when evil operates at its peak.
Seeing the color black in various places in dreams, therefore, clearly points to an evil influence at work.
- Black Symbolizes the Influence of Evil
...(1)After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
(2)And Job spake, and said, (3)Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. (4)Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. (5)Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it. (6)As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
(7)Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein...
...(6)For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, (7)And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, (8)Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, (9)In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: (10)And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (11)(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: (12)Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) (13)So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, (14)I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. (15)Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. (16)I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. (17)I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. (18)Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. (21)With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. (50)And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. (51)And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. (52)Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? (53)When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness...
- Why was I, spiritually, feeling the demon's attacks against me, while half-awake?
...I tell you, the "half-awake" phenomenon we can experience still amazes me.
From a practical standpoint, I believe that God created half-awake states in order to help us better discern spiritual attacks, and such, outside of the full influence of the spirit world (as our spiritual beings operate on a different standard as our physical beings). In this case, I was still quite young (19) and had no knowledge, whatsoever, of God in His Word.
And as for Scripturally -- it always points to the realities of the war waging on against us, in the spirit realm.
- Realities of Spiritual Warfare
...(10)Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11)Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12)For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(13)Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (14)Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (15)And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (16)Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (17)And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (18)Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (19)And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, (20)For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak...
II Corinthians 10:3-6
...(3)For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (4)(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (6)And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled...

...(10)And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. (11)These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (14)And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host. (15)And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian. (16)And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
