...(26)Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. (27)Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. (28)Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
(29)Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. (30)Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
(31)Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God...
Leviticus 20:1-7; 25-27
...(1)And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (2)Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. (3)And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. (4)And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: (5)Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
(6)And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
(7)Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God...
...(25)Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. (26)And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
(27)A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them...
...(9)When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. (10)There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, (11)Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. (12)For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
(13)Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. (14)For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so do to...
I Samuel 28:3-20
...(3)Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land. (4)And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa. (5)And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. (6)And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
(7)Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
(8)And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. (9)And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? (10)And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
(11)Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
(12)And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. (13)And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. (14)And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
(15)And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. (16)Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? (17)And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: (18)Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day. (19)Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
(20)Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night...
II Kings 21:1-12
...(1)Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah. (2)And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. (3)For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. (4)And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. (5)And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
(6)And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger...
II Kings 23:1-7; 24
...(1)And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
(2)And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD. (3)And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant. (4)And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. (5)And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
(6)And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped It small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people. (7)And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove...
...(24)Moreover the familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD...
I Chronicles 10:6-14
...(6)So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
(7)And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them. (8)And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa. (9)And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people. (10)And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon. (11)And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul, (12)They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
(13)So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking council of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it; (14)And inquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse...
II Chronicles 33:1-8
...(1)Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: (2)But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
(3)For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. (4)Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever. (5)And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. (6)And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. (7)And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: (8)Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses...
...(16)Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. (17)And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. (18)Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. (19)And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? (20)To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (21)And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. (22)And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness...
...(1)The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. (2)And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. (3)And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. (4)And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts...
...(1)Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices. (2)Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel. (3)And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee. (4)And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
(5)Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly. (6)Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire...

...Finally, in April of 1842, I learned for the first time something about the ghost in the house. Two of Gottliebin’s relatives had come to ask my advice because it could not be kept secret any longer as the whole neighborhood had noticed the trampling at night. At that time, Gottliebin saw with special frequency the figure of a woman of this town (who had died two years earlier), holding a dead child in her arms. Gottliebin carefully kept her name secret and did not tell it to me until later. This woman, she said, would always stand at the same place in front of her bed and at times would move toward her and then would often repeat these words, “I want to be left alone,” or, “Give me a paper, and I won’t come back,” etc. Now I was asked whether anything more specific could be inquired of this woman figure. My advice was that Gottliebin was not to start a conversation with the figure under any circumstances, the more since no one could know how much self-deception was part of it. One thing was sure, anyone who became involved with the spirit world could get into terrible error and foolishness...

Ch. 5: The Truth About Spiritualism
...When the medium at a seance enters a trance, a control spirit takes over and allegedly introduces the spirit of a dead person. In reality, the unseen visitor is a "familiar spirit" who intimately knows the dead person. Apparently these familiar spirits accompany a person throughout life, becoming so well acquainted that they can convincingly imitate the dead person's mannerisms and knowledge of personal details when called upon at a seance. In this way even close relatives are tricked into believing they are hearing their dead loved one.
I believe this was what happened to the late James A. Pike. He went to several mediums who told him they had contacted his dead son, Jim, Jr., and that father and son could communicate in a seance. Pike supposedly did so on a number of occasions, as he describes in his book, The Other Side. Actually, Pike talked to a spirit who was familiar with his son. This spirit impersonated his son so well and favorably that Pike overcame his remorse about his son's suicide, and looked forward to rejoining his son. Bishop Pike was a rather easy convert to spiritualism, since he, like the spiritualists, rejected the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, and if Jesus is not God, he cannot be man's Savior -- nor does man need a Savior, in Pike's view...

Chapter 8: Secret Pains
There was one other way they kept me in control -- if not physically, then certainly emotionally. That was through the use of an evil spirit that kept me in bondage. This is an area I hesitate to write about, for it is so difficult to explain. Even I don't fully understand just how spirit guides work. I only know that they do work.
I had only heard about spirit guides in conversations with coven members before and after rituals. They would talk about how they had asked for and received their own spirit guides from Satan. Surprisingly, they often talked rather fondly about their guides and the occult powers they endowed. However, occasionally they confessed a fear of them. They expressed how their spirit guides were not only guides but controllers. A few even said these guides were in them, making sure they remained faithful and obedient to their orders.
One satanist I overheard talking about her spirit guide expressed rather bitterly that she was afraid that if she was ever disobedient to the spirit's commands, Satan might give it orders to kill her. I was glad that I didn't have a spirit guide, and sincerely hoped I never would. I had enough troubles with people controlling me without adding a spirit to the list. Besides, I figured that you had to be a confessed and initiated satanist to have one.
Soon after my father's death, I found myself becoming more and more angry at the people who were harassing me. I surely had no intentions of making my life any more miserable by daring to talk about them. It made me so mad that they were still messing with me. I began talking to myself out loud. "Just get out of my life and leave me alone." I would say. "I don't want to have anything to do with you. Why can't you get that through your thick skulls?"
One night after one of their obscene phone calls, I let off steam by verbally assaulting them as I walked around the house. Suddenly I heard a voice. It startled me, for I knew I was alone. Then I heard it again.
"Little one. I've come to help you. I've come to guide you from now on."
There was no doubt about it. It was an unusually kind and gentle voice, spoken in almost a whisper. It seemed to be coming from behind me. Slowly I turned around. There it was, the form of a person. At least, it looked like a person. It wasn't a solid body, but rather an untouchable yet visible form of a body. I don't know how to explain it any other way.
The face was a female likeness, the most compassionate-looking face I had ever seen. There was only the head and the upper part of the body. The head was covered with a black shawl that draped down over the arms and chest. Instantly I was drawn to the eyes. They seemed to beckon me.
I took a step back as I said, "This can't be happening. You aren't real. I must be dreaming."
"No, my little one, you're not dreaming," the voice replied. "I am real. You may touch me if you like."
I stood stiff as a board. No way was I going to reach out my hand. I had witnessed many strange apparitions at satanic rituals, but nothing like this had ever come into my own home. I wasn't about to encourage it or even acknowledge it.
Yet one thing bothered me as I stood looking at this form. I wasn't frightened. Startled, yes; frightened, no. The compassion, almost a look of love, that emanated from its face made me feel as if it could be my friend. The smile was so compelling that I felt almost mesmerized.
Once more it spoke, "You're all alone now. I've been sent to be your spirit friend. You may call me 'Mother,' for that is what I will be to you. You'll never be alone again. I will always be with you."
As it spoke the words, "I will always be with you," the form disappeared...

Ch 4 My Struggle with Depression
Overcoming My Enemy
Finally in 1953, when I had exhausted all my own resources, God came to my help in a way I had never contemplated. I was reading the opening verses of Isaiah 61, which describe the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in bearing testimony to the message of the Gospel— verses Jesus applied to Himself in the synagogue in Nazareth (see Luke 4: 16– 21). As I came to the words in verse 3, “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (KJV, emphasis added)— also called “a spirit of despair” (NIV) and “a spirit of fainting” (NASB)— I could read no further. It was as though the phrase the spirit of heaviness was underlined by some invisible hand.
I repeated the phrase to myself: the spirit of heaviness. Was this God’s diagnosis of my condition? Could it mean that the force I was struggling with was not part of myself, but an alien person— an evil spirit being that somehow occupied an area of my mind?
I recalled a term I had once heard but did not understand: familiar spirit. Did it possibly refer to some kind of evil power that attached itself to the members of a family, moving down from generation to generation?...
...With this new insight, I saw that a similar “dark spirit” had followed me through my life, from childhood onward. Apparently it had studied my temperament and was familiar with my weaknesses and my reactions. It knew just when I would be most vulnerable to its pressures. It now had one main objective: to prevent me from serving Christ effectively.
This was a decisive moment in my life. I had always regarded my depression and negative attitude as an expression of my own character— something I had been born with. I had felt guilty that I was not a “better” Christian. Now it became clear to me that my struggle was not against part of my own personality at all.
Immediately the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the promise of Joel 2:32: “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered” (KJV). From my study of Hebrew, I knew this verb also means “to save, to rescue.” I determined to apply this promise and to act on it. I said a simple prayer that went something like this: “Lord, You’ve shown me that I have been oppressed by a spirit of heaviness, but You have promised in Your Word that if I call on Your name, I shall be delivered. So I’m calling on You now to deliver me, in the name of Jesus!”
The response was immediate. Something like a huge, heavenly vacuum cleaner came down over me and sucked away the gray mist that shrouded my head and shoulders. At the same time a pressure in the area of my chest was forcibly released, and I gave a little gasp.
God had answered my prayer. Suddenly everything around me seemed brighter. I felt as if a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulders. I was free! All my life I had been under that oppression. It felt strange to be free. But I discovered quickly that freedom was normal and that oppression was abnormal.
My old enemy did not give up on me; I still had to struggle against depression. But the great difference now was that its attacks came from without, not from within. I gradually learned how to withstand it...

Chapter Two: WHAT HAPPENS WITH DEATH?
...I witnessed many lost souls of men and women on their way to hell. These lost souls, irrespective of their age whether young or old, were unprepared for their death that had come to them suddenly.
It is important to note that the earthbound spirits are a myth. These are demons in the guise of the deceased and appear in their forms and often mistaken as ghosts. These demons certainly do not need the help from mankind to cross over to the other side. This is a deception played on gullible and uninformed minds.
During my many trips to hell, I came across many such demons that appeared to people as ghosts. Beloved, you cannot be earthbound because you do not want to leave this earth after your death. It is impossible to stick around on earth after death. This is clearly mentioned in the Bible: "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27).
I saw lost souls compelled to continue that terror-bound journey on the path in darkness much against their will to their doom...
Dream Entry Blog: "intimate Details on Familiar Spirits"
February 24, 2017 (6-6:30 a.m.)
Each of us are assigned a familiar spirit.
Mine was intimately revealed to me in this semi-lucid state dream where I was inside of my old house and within my old bedroom. From here, I had decided to enter into my closet and go up into the attic.
As I remember, just soon after ascending and entering, I was then ambushed and pinned down by a nude figure of a spirit being taking my form: my dimensions, my voice...yet, a hate-filled set of eyes with grit teeth and a scowl -- and even foam protruding out from his mouth.
It was a struggle (Ephesians 6:12), yet...as I was pinned down, I do remember gripping both of its wrists with my hands and reminding him of his defeat.
I had awoke soon after this -- but could not move my physical body out of the covers.
Mysteriously, I also was still in cognizant operation of my soul body.
...back in a dream state again, I then recall walking around my bedroom of my current house. This time, there was a full-length mirror situated in front of me. As I peered into it -- I could then see a doppelganger (familiar spirit) version of myself standing very close behind me; even wearing the exact same work clothes that I had on.
Very close behind me...as if this spirit is assigned to intimately follow me.
