This entry recounts the first time that I recall publicly dabbling with a Ouija board.
I was 19 at the time and was living with three other roommates in a two-story, four bedroom rental house. We'll call my roommates "Jay", "Donny", and "Trinn" (names changed for privacy).
Late one evening (maybe Fri. or Sat.?), I had just returned home from my job at the movie cinema and noticed that Jay had invited company over. After a short while, we all eventually made our way into Jay's bedroom (which was the master bedroom on the top floor) to have a group session on the Ouija board.
At the time, it seemed like a cool, thrilling thing to do.
Once everyone was seated on the hardwood floor around the board, someone shut off the light. Jay's candle-lit room now reflected the game board, as well as a line of of popular occult movie posters along his bedroom walls (wonder where he got them from...?). Over to my immediate left where I was seated, was a decorative wall-mountable mirror of Donny's also placed upon the floor; which had a dragon scale design engraved around the border (I believe he bought it from an old Bud K catalog;. In either case, I have a very similar photo of it, posted below this entry).
The session started pretty much as most of them seem to do, with all of us asking the board a series of standard-type questions -- as the planchette would then, with all of our hands resting upon it, effortlessly glide itself across the surface; resting briefly upon a letter or number...and then another...to spell out the answer.
Throughout this, certain people in the group swore that they weren't moving the pointer. As for myself, I do recall there being a subtle, yet tangibly firm force which seemed to emanate from the surface portion of the board, itself -- as opposed to feeling any sort of muscling or pulling movement coming from anyone else.
Anyhow, as my turn then came up again -- I decided to ask the spirit if it could reveal itself.
The immediate spelled answer read something like this:
L-O-O-K I-N T-H-E M-I-R-R-O-R.
With my wonder and curiosity now piqued, I leaned over to my left and peered into the dragon mirror's reflection.
Staring back at me was a clear and visible outline of what looked to be an old woman's face becoming superimposed over mine! Others within the room went over and looked at my reflection, also, and can attest to seeing this as well.
As I recall, shortly after this the Ouija board session abruptly ended after a certain mutual friend became agitated (can't exactly recall over what) and cursed out the spirit operating behind the board.

From the brief time I remained in that house, me and my other roommates began experiencing various paranormal events in that house; ranging from dreams, to seeing things in the dark, hearing cabinet doors slam shut when no one else was in the kitchen, etc.
Speaking of, shortly thereafter I had a very chilling dream as I was asleep one night, in my bedroom.
As I recall, in this brief dream I was upstairs in the kitchen speaking with Jay about something as he was seated near the dining table. Nothing, so far, seemed out of the ordinary.
Suddenly, after I had said his name at the end of a statement, "Jay" piercingly stared back at me -- with black eyes -- and bluntly said "I'm not Jay".
[I do get goosebumps recalling this]
Immediately, I awoke in my pitch-black room (my bedroom, on the bottom floor, had no windows) feeling a malevolent presence. In my still half-awake, somewhat disoriented state -- I could, literally, feel something "striking" me upside the head!
Mysteriously enough, I wasn't being "struck" in the literal physical sense, but more like in the psychic/spiritual sense. My heart was racing at this point, as the only thing I could think of doing was call upon God's name to make it stop.
And, shortly after my doing so, it did.
I no longer have this pertaining photograph, as I tore it up and threw it out many years ago (although I would GLADLY post it here today, for the testimony), but there was a certain photo of me taken back at this time where there was this clear manifestation of a succubus-like spirit emanating from a glowing cord of light -- of which, was protruding directly out from my chest.
The spirit, itself, was about a foot tall and took the form of a feminine figure with a set of demonic wings.
Admittedly, by this time I had already dabbled in a considerable amount of occult/witchcraft (e.g. Tarot cards, psychedelic drug use, spell casting, etc.).
The feminine figure, somewhat, resembled this image below (although glowing, instead of black):
At the time, I was living in an apartment duplex with another friend of mine, and was started to genuinely seek out the God of the Christian Bible.
One early morning, I briefly dreamed that I was lucidly in my bedroom (hardwood floors; with no other furniture apparent in the room) and was standing faced toward one of my bedroom walls (with the door on the right).
As I recall, I then looked up toward the ceiling and declared out-loud "God, how can I see you?".
Immediately after asking this, I then looked down toward my right hand.
Clasped in my right hand was my dad's black leather-bound King James Bible.
About a year prior to this, I purchased a book called 23 Minutes in Hell by a man named Bill Weise (pronounces like "wheeze"). It's a vivid account of Weise's claimed out-of-body experience in Hell, where he briefly experienced a taste of the horrific torments reserved for those who die in their sins -- without the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
(I highly recommend reading it for the conviction it can place on someone).
It, certainly, had made an eye-opening impression on me; which led into a period where I obsessed over learning more about Hell. I began searching the Internet for any other testimonies I could find, striving to piece together a better overall "picture" of what this place really was. In retrospect, I had gotten carried away with this informational pursuit.
To wit: In foolishness, my obsession led me into actually getting down on my hands and knees in prayer one evening and asking the Lord to reveal Hell to me.
Not a smart move. While God, graciously, did not answer (although, for a brief moment after I had prayed this -- my heart began beating quite rapidly, as if I was approaching toward something terrifying!), I believe that this desire opened a "door" to the enemy; in creating an opportunity for "messengers of light" to harass me.
In one such case, I had a vivid dream where I was being led, by an "angelic" spirit guide, down into a descending series of stone walled dungeons. Down at the lowest level, I found myself in this small chamber with stone walls and a conspicuous green puddle collecting along the floor at one of the corners.
My "guide" then offered me the chance to see Hell for myself -- on the condition that I completely submerged my body in acid (the green substance).
...by the grace of God I turned that offer down!
Even in my hazy dream state, I was chilled and repulsed by the thought.
I can't remember much of what happened afterwards; only some fleeting chaotic images involving bees in an outdoor wilderness type of setting, which led into me abruptly waking up.

I especially share this entry in order to convey the dangers of allowing a "thirst for knowledge" to degrade into something more obsessive.
Researching and cataloging testimonies is one thing (one reason why I created this website!)...while desiring to actually be a testimony is entirely something else.
Fall/Winter 2009 (before 8 a.m.)
To begin, I want to make clear here that, during this time period in my life, I had no strong opinion of President Barack Obama (i.e. I neither favored him, nor hated him). My only real position on him was that I thought it was cool that the country elected its first black president; almost a year, prior.
Detailed below is a brief dream vision I had concerning him:
In this vision, I first saw a clear image of Barack Obama from about the neck up. He was staring directly outward with his face turned to the left, as if news television cameras were recording him addressing an audience; very similar to this image:
Suddenly, his face then became very pinkish, puffed up, and distorted, as if a demon's face was being superimposed upon him. Even two rounded horns appeared to protrude out from his temples.
Shortly after this, his image and the setting vanished entirely -- as I then immediately saw before me a vast, open-wide cavern full of roaring flames; comparable to this image, below:
In this brief dream segment, I found myself waking along some kind of narrow road.
While traveling down this road, I recall looking off to my left and noticing this great number of people (at least 100's, as far as my line of sight could see) in dark-colored clothes, bunched together like a crowded subway, advancing and entering into this vast darkened entryway which, looking further off, appeared to steadily decline underground.
This pathway emitted upward a stream of very thick black smoke -- like that of a massive furnace.
Also, this pathway had a kind of entrance door resembling a giant wide steel vault; that would, intermittently, vertically raise open and slam shut (it reminded me of the commercial style dishwashers one would see in a restaurant).
May 28, 2010
As I recall, this was one of the first extended "lucid-state" dreams that I've had (i.e. where I'm entirely and cognizantly aware of being in a dream).
Just prior to this occurring, I was experience some kind of struggle within another dream -- and could hear a still, small voice that said to me "Don't give up so easily..."
(I believe this was the Holy Ghost encouraging me).
After this, I came to and appeared on the street of my old neighborhood; with my old house just a bit further down and along my right. In a bit of awe, I started walking...moving...and looking around curiously, as everything was very vivid. It was almost "sparkly", as in a kind of atmospheric demeanor.
As I continued to walk, I passed by an old yellow house of one of my neighbor's, off to my left.
Suddenly, I then saw an elderly couple appear and waving at me in their front yard.
I found myself unable to speak, but I began motioning to them with both of my hands: first pointing at both of them, and then pointing upward toward the sky (in effect, asking "Did you go to Heaven?"). The first person over to the left (the elderly woman) smiled and nodded in response -- while the one over on the right (the elderly man) scowled and thrust both his hands out in a pushing away motion, in disgust.
Still unable to speak, I turned my attention over to this man, clasping both my hands together and emotionally pleading with him to reconsider.
Suddenly as before, I see a third person now standing next to him, looking as if he had a halo & angel wings outfit on (oddly enough, like something you'd expect to see a child wear during Halloween). This third person seemed to be trying to talk and plead with him also -- while the man continued to frown and maintain a demeanor of firm rejection.
After seeing this, the entire scene then faded before my eyes, as I now saw a momentary vision of pitch-black darkness, save for a dimly visible and rising section resembling a red, lava-like abyss. Accompanying this also was a deep audible roaring sound reverberating (like rushing waterfalls within a cavern) and rapidly growing in volume.
Immediately after this, I awoke screaming.
November 9, 2010 (between 5-8:30 a.m.)
In this dream vision, I was walking alongside what I perceived to be a powerful Chinese man. He was powerful in the sense that he was possibly a political or royal/government authority.
We were walking along the left-hand part of a highway, which seemed (to me) to be leading back toward the city limits (as if we were coming in from the north). Our walking path changed its form as we continued along; from a grassy trail alongside the road, to entering into something like an enclosed public walkway.
This wooden walkway had both and upper-part and a bottom; of which, we were located at the top.
Continuing our walk, either the Chinese man told me or I was "made aware" spiritually that China had taken over the United States, likely due to an economic collapse. I was, again, made aware of a plan to progressively "phase in" a class system into the entire U.S. population.
I visually saw this: graphs of people being divided into separate "classes".
Throughout all of this, me and him were still conversing. I cannot remember exactly what he was saying, but I do remember that he was talking about different plans concerning the U.S.
I was this man's adviser/enforcer.
Now inside the public walkway, there was an initial group of people who walked passed us. Some were wearing hats. I was then ordered, either by the Chinese man or acting in response to my own oath, to verbally abuse those people to remove their hats in our presence.
This happened a second time along the public walkway, down below: a larger group of people were walking down below us, and one of them did something that caught our attention. In response, I was provoked into, literally, jumped down there, grabbing this person's head, and then forcibly slamming him into a wall.
February 16, 2011 (around 7 a.m.)
In this dream, I found myself walking on a dirt road, with fields on either side, leading toward a T-junction. It was a clear, summer day. Once I reached the junction, a man who looked to be around my age (late 20's, maybe early 30's) appeared and was walking passed me, to the right. His clothing reminded me of an era long ago, as he was wearing a sleeveless purple-colored tunic. He had medium-length, black wavy hair that went down slightly over his ears. He also had a full black beard of short length. His skin was dark complected, like an Arab's, and I believe he had brown eyes.
...honestly, he looked a lot like the guy who played Ares on the old 90's TV show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
For some reason, I had the impression that his name was Enoch. So, I approached him and verbally introduced myself, calling him Enoch.
He then corrected me, saying "Call me Christian".
Now during this whole exchange as we were walking, a third being was present -- that "Christian" did not acknowledge (yet I seemed to). This being reminded me of a Treasure Troll doll; it was about over 4 ft. high, and had wild purple or pink hair that went down past its tailbone [I do get goosebumps recalling this being in my mind].
Nonetheless, I continued to follow "Christian" and was speaking to him about something. He politely spoke back, but seemed intently focused on something else.
Suddenly -- he took off in a full sprint down the road!
He was supernaturally fast! I then proceeded to sprint myself and tried to catch up with him.
Being in a dream state and in my evident soul body, I experienced no cardiovascular fatigue; neither did I experience any athletic limitations that I would have, otherwise, within my natural body. Despite my best efforts though, I could not come close in catching up to him -- as he was still at least 100 feet ahead of me down the dirt road.
Once over a small hill in the distance, I noticed he then turned right into a wooden dock which led towards a huge, metallic ship docked in the adjoining water.
The last thing I clearly remember: I finally made it to this dock, but there were, by then, many people walking about.
I had lost sight of "Christian"...
- - - - - - -
Looking back on this dream, I can say for certain that the "treasure troll" humanoid creature was a demon spirit.
I'm not entirely sure if "Enoch"/"Christian" was an angel of the Lord (although purple does symbolize royalty), or a once-alive saint in the body of Christ that was mysteriously permitted to manifest in my dream. At this point in my life, I was not aware of 1 John 4:1's admonition to "test the spirits" in determining whether they are angelic or demonic.
May 30, 2012
Growing up in my old house (which I lived in from about 1989-2004), we had a kitchen that was connected by an open doorway to the living room where I would usually spend time in. Inside this kitchen, there was this certain old ceiling fan that scared me senseless as a child. Being such a smaller kid and looking up at it, the dim lighting would cast shadows upon the fan blades and motor -- which made it look like an evil face with a pair of eyes and sneering teeth staring directly down at me.
I hated it. So much that I would oftentimes close off the doorway with a blanket, or whatever else, to keep from looking at it. It also became a source of frequent nightmares for me.
Thankfully, the landlord eventually changed that fan out...
Back In 2012, I was studying abroad in Turkey and was really getting back into the Word of God, when I had another dream involving the "evil ceiling fan". In this one, I was back in my old house in the middle of the living room facing the kitchen, when I heard a woman's voice suddenly yell out to me "It's coming!"
The ceiling fan, now taking the likeness of a 7ft-8ft tall demonic samurai warrior dual-wielding katana blades in both hands, then appeared in the kitchen and was stalking toward me, sneering! Now normally, this would be the part where I would either run away or freeze in terror and scream until I would wake up.
Not this time!
I was still scared, but I stood my ground and just quietly waited until the monster approached me, trusting the Lord.
Much to my delight and surprise, just as the ceiling fan monster got within a few feet of me, he abruptly stopped, took an expression of horror...coward backwards, and fled!!
I never felt so relieved waking up from a nightmare.
The Lord had my back on that one!
- - - - - - -
This is definitely a lesson that I could continue to apply today. If I could minister any advice for any passing readers, it would be to stand your ground during these nightmares and trust in the Lord.
I can testify to Hebrews 13:5 "...I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
This one occurred during my last semester in college. I was in a cognizant lucid-dream state and found myself walking in what appeared to be my current neighborhood, back home. The sheer vividness of this place, along with the level of awareness I had, was MUCH more intense than the physical/natural world around us.
Starting from my driveway, I turned right and continued walking down my neighborhood road; which eventually wraps around the left and will take one out toward the highway. Once I was about halfway toward the end, I became keenly aware of what I believed to be God's presence off to the left side of me, emanating in the center part of my neighborhood.
I first audibly called out and thanked Him for saving me.
I audibly heard in response "You're welcome.."
I then veered off onto the dirt gravel road and walked toward the center, and toward God's presence.
When I neared closer to the center area (His presence was now just off to the right, up in a cloudy sky), I asked out loud to Him (paraphrased) "What subject should I study in the Bible?"
Immediately -- a booming, thunderous response reverberated in my direction:
I was immediately floored, face toward the ground, and greatly stricken with fear. I did not want to continue in the direction where that voice emanated from!
I awoke shortly afterwards.
II Samuel 22:14
...The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice...
...Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?...
- - - - - - -
Now to provide context to that experience on my personal end at that time, I was involved in some sin which I knew good well I shouldn't have been involved in (sexual, etc.). That one, terrible word from the Lord-- looking back now in hindsight -- was the wake-up call I needed...and am thankful for.
As for further describing God's thunderous Voice: you know how when one yells the source of that emanates from the vocal cords? In this case, it was as if the sky above me had vocal cords -- it was that kind of sheer intense.
He, truly, truly, chastises those He loves (Hebrews 12:6).
June 2013 (about 10-11 p.m.)
One night in June, I was trying to fall asleep in my brother's bedroom (one of my dogs was on the bed with me).
Just before nodding off, I was laying on my left side and, below the bed underneath me, I heard what sounded like my own voice creepily singing in a hushed tone "Soooome daaaay..."
Immediately after that, it felt like something reached out and suddenly grabbed my throat -- snapping me awake.
Now awake, my laptop, which I had closed and sitting off on a table to the side, booted up. I tried falling back asleep twice, in which the bed then starting shaking and something briefly attacked me, again.
I ended up sleeping the rest of the night with a light on.

It was from here on when I decided to start seriously researching into what the Bible said about demons and deliverance ministry.
Fall 2013 (daytime)
As I recall, this was the first lucid-state dream that I had where I was in direct confrontation with a demonic spirit -- whom was compelled to confess its identity to me, by my using the name of Jesus Christ (I John 4:1).
I believe I was taking a nap in my room, when I had found myself in a lucid state in what appeared to be an exact copy of my room. As I came completely to and looked toward the end of my room toward the window, I then saw standing in front of me a distorted form of a woman that I had known back in high school (whom I suspect has practiced witchcraft, in the past).
The distortion was a rail-thin, unnaturally skinny form of this person; almost comical, but with an element of fear due to the lucid-state nature of the encounter.
I was beginning to seriously study deliverance ministry at this time, so I approached this being and asked "In the name of Jesus, are you a demon?".
"Yes" was its immediate response.
